Yucky crinkly fabric, very old lady like and dated.

Like JD, I was disappointed with the “feel” of the textile. It reminded me of K-Mart blouses my grandmother wore in the 80’s. I left it in the plastic intending to return it. Then I tried it on. The fit was so absolutely perfect that I had to keep it. The waist hits just where I need it to hide my middle-age pouch and the hemline has this girlishly-whirley movement when I walk. I love the way this dress feels on, and the fabric I initially didn’t care for feels completely different when you’re wearing it. I put it on when some old friends of mine were coming over and they acted like I’d just had a complete makeover (they aren’t used to seeing me in anything that isn’t 2 sizes too big). I am keeping the dang dress. And I’m probably going to buy one in the other color too.
I am 5’3”, 156lbs (overweight) and 56yrs old. This dress slimmed my waist and actually made my boobs perky – 20 years younger and like I never breastfed (this is a combo of a good bra and the way this dress is sewn – it just falls perfectly).
It is also comfortable and the fabric “breathes” in our ridiculously hot, humid climate here.
